A child’s home life is intrinsically connected to their authorship and to their social worlds. In this interactive and hands-on workshop, four educators/literacy scholars/authors team up to demonstrate how multimodal out-of-school literacies have the potential to shape and enhance in-school writing programs. Specific genres of writing will be highlighted, including: poetry, recounts, narratives, and reports.
